This game was a fun for one single player or the whole family. We beat the game as a family, though my husband did most of the really hard stuff. It was very engaging. There were many nights we could not wait to get home and play. Now that we have finished the last level though we have not been interested in playing. Our daughter (9) has gotten into creating her own levels and she is quite good at it.
One of the most intriguing qualities was the ability to ajust your characters costume and facial expressions at any time.
I like the buzz of an energy drink, but I find that most are either too bitter or too sweet to be enjoyable. Amp's Lighting flavored Energy Drink is nice and tart without being bitter.
At 220 calories, however, it won't be a regular part of my daily energy drink routine. It's tasty, but not too sweet, and actually tastes like a real lemonade (most "lemonades" are too sweet; as an energy drink, this Amp had the tartness that makes a lemonade a lemonade.)
So, I finally have my grubby mitts on Star Trek Online… I’ve been waiting so long for this.
This post will contain first impressions, a bug and recommended update thread, and some stuff I’ve really enjoyed seeing in the game.
I downloaded the game, installed it, then went to work!
Really.
Good Old Games is selling Sierra's The Incredible Machine series for $10. Having enjoyed the game in the past, I decided to buy it and give it a shot again. It's just as fun as I remember it... with some caveats.
The game pack comes with The Even More Incredible Machine (includes The Incredible Machine with extra puzzles), The Incredible Machine 3 (Windows version of The Incredible Machine 2), Return of the Incredible Machine: Contraptions and The Incredible Machine - Even More Contraptions.
Public Enemy is loosely the story of John Dillinger, a bank robber so prolific he single-handedly prompted the creation of the modern FBI and the first interstate crime laws. He was charming, good to the people, loved his girlfriend, and stuck to a specific code of honor. At least, that's what the movie producers thought of him.
The developers of World of Goo had an interesting promotion: download the game and you set the price! Always the cheapskate, I bought the game for only $4.99 (couldn't make myself only pay $0.01, no matter what my shoulder devil encouraged me to do). This game more than paid for itself at $4.99, and could easily go for $14.99. Although I enjoyed the game, there were some serious wallbanger parts, where I was glad I'd spent the extra money a year ago on the heavy duty mouse. The game is based on a physics simulator, and this is both the game's charm... and the reverse "blessing" which will cause you to curse like a sailor.
Sorry about the long title, this device goes by a lot of names.
Its no secret, I love super hero games. I love them more when super heros are beating the tar out of each other. And as such, I’ve occasionally said to myself “hey self, wouldn’t it be super neato if X-Men: Children of the Atom or maybe Marvel Super Heros were released on XBLA? Well, our friends and overlords at Microsoft did me one better. Possibly three.
My first thought upon seeing this movie was "Oh, Lord, another Save The Earth!!1! envirowacko movie." I mean, it has all the trademarks: Evil humans build industry and pilliage the landscape, and the spirits of the world fight back! But getting past the preconcieved notions of any animation that talks about nature (caused by Captain Planet, I'm sure) allowed me to actually really enjoy this m
I first found this anime on a discount rack at a used video shop and was intrigued, as a Shirlock Holmes fan.
The four episodes I had in hand were fun and intriguing, but I didn't really want to review the series until I could get my hands on a better source.
A better source I've found! And it's YouTube! And having viewed even more episodes, I can finally, safely, give it an AWESOME.
