Sam and Max 106: Dark Side of the Moon

Sam and Max Episode 6 of Season One, Dark Side of the Moon is a great continuation of the series.  And it's got a really need puzzle solving boss battle that harkens back to the former days of glory for the Adventure game market.

However, this game doesn't really stand on it's own.  It depends heavily on previous chunks of the game being well known to the players, and it's a bit of a letdown on the writing side of things.  It's still great... but it's not the best of the series.

Sherlock Hound

I first found this anime on a discount rack at a used video shop and was intrigued, as a Shirlock Holmes fan.

The four episodes I had in hand were fun and intriguing, but I didn't really want to review the series until I could get my hands on a better source.

A better source I've found! And it's YouTube! And having viewed even more episodes, I can finally, safely, give it an AWESOME.

Battalion Wars II

Battalion Wars II seems have the ability to be a fun game. The graphics are fun, the cut scenes are well done and not overused (after getting through the tutorial missions), and the game concept is awesome. You are the leader of a battalion (obviously used in the "autonomous operations" sense, not the "500-1500 soldiers" sense), taking your squad into action time and again to defend your glorious empire. I sat down at this game with high expectations of fun. Again, the ability is there... but the execution isn't all it's cracked up to be.
