Little Big Planet

This game was a fun for one single player or the whole family. We beat the game as a family, though my husband did most of the really hard stuff. It was very engaging. There were many nights we could not wait to get home and play. Now that we have finished the last level though we have not been interested in playing. Our daughter (9) has gotten into creating her own levels and she is quite good at it.

One of the most intriguing qualities was the ability to ajust your characters costume and facial expressions at any time.

Pixel Junk Monsters

For the entire month of February, I have been downloading PS3 game demos like there's no tomorrow. One of the last possible demos available to me was Pixel Junk Monsters. I wasn't saving the "best for the last"... it just seemed like a total dud, and I was repeatedly passing it by.

Finally, after all the other freebies had been played, I gave it a go...

Sam and Max 106: Dark Side of the Moon

Sam and Max Episode 6 of Season One, Dark Side of the Moon is a great continuation of the series.  And it's got a really need puzzle solving boss battle that harkens back to the former days of glory for the Adventure game market.

However, this game doesn't really stand on it's own.  It depends heavily on previous chunks of the game being well known to the players, and it's a bit of a letdown on the writing side of things.  It's still great... but it's not the best of the series.

Rockstar Zero Carb

Rockstar Punched was my first run-in with the Rockstar brand of energy drinks, and it gave me a high opinion of the brand.  So when I saw that my local megamart was carrying the zero carb version of Rockstar, I decided to splurge.

In most cases, Sucralose is the magic ingredient.  I look for it when purchasing "zero carb" or "sugar free" beverages, as it does a great job of emulating the flavor profile of sugar.  Rockstar Zero Carb is proof that Sucralose is not a magic ingredient.

Inglorious Basterds

Inglorious Basterds takes place sorta-kinda in World War 2, but this is a World War 2 where the US didn't follow any war crimes guidelines, and Hitler was killed in a grand allied plot rather than shooting himself in a ditch. Also, lots of cursing and blood and obviously fake gore.

Sam and Max 105: Reality 2.0

Episode 5 of the first season of Sam and Max is my second favorite of the series, behind Abe Lincoln Must Die.  This one takes place in that zany world, Reality 2.0 which is taking over the Internet and only you can save everyone from becoming hypnotized online game addicts!

Full of wit and references to gaming culture, this game is incredibly awesome.  It's a bit lacking in the graphics department;  Telltale shortcut a bit to get this game out.
