Rockstar Punched

It's hard to find an energy drink which is, at the same time, tasty and buzz inducing.  Rockstar has done a great job with Rockstar Punched, a fruit punch flavored energy drink which contains a decent amount of buzz along with a flavor which won't put you off your lunch.

At 260 calories per 16oz can, it falls right into the "guilty pleasure" department of Energy Drinks when on a diet, but you can do much, much worse in the energy drink market than Rockstar Punched.

Assassin's Creed 2

They had it, in their hands. They had an opportunity to merge three of the greatest game series of all times.

Avatar Post Mortem

A handicapped Space Marine From The Future joins a Crazy Scientific Project to allow him to Jack In to an Avatar and learn about the Na'vis and how they peacefully coexist on a World Wide Web.

Assassin's Creed 2 - first Impressions

I don't play games quickly anymore. I get an hour a night, on average, MAYBE if I'm lucky. So consequently, I don't get to review games in their entirety in a timely manner. I think, though that a lot of people have this kind of time crunch in their personal lives. The average age of gamers has increased to 32. Our readers are, on average, not the kind of person who can play a video game for 48 hours straight. Therefore, I think my first impression reviews are pretty useful.

Lo-Carb Monster Energy Drink

To continue the series of carbonated beverages, I present to you Lo-Carb Monster, a favorite of mine for over a year, despite it's crazy price.  If I'm looking for an energy drink for a quick buzz, this is the first one I go for.

The addiction started well over a year ago, at a datacenter company I worked for who stocked their refrigerator with tons of free bubbly beverages.  As you may or may not know, I'm a bit on the hefty side, and my main temptation isn't twinkies or 72oz steaks and mashed potatoes... it's soda pop.

James Cameron™'s Avatar® in IMAX® 3D (enjoy it with a Big Mac™!)

We were promised an epic, sweeping science fiction movie from one of the most talented filmmakers of our generation. It was supposed to be the most technologically advanced movie in history, and it was supposed to be a biting social commentary at that. It sounds like we were going to get the greatest movie ever created! What we got was Pocahontas meets DOOM, rendered by the Final Fantasy team.

District 9

I finally got around to seeing District 9. Without spoiling the movie, all I can say is that the presentation was interesting, the story was unique, and I wish humans would curl up and die already. More in-depth reviews and spoilers after the jump.

AMP Energy: Traction

What with my pleasant experience with AMP's Lightning energy drink, I was really looking forward to my experience with AMP's "Traction" drink, which I got in the same bundle sale at my local megamart.

Normally when describing a drink I don't usually choose a word associated with tires.  But in this case, it's accurate.

AMP Energy: Lightning

I like the buzz of an energy drink, but I find that most are either too bitter or too sweet to be enjoyable.  Amp's Lighting flavored Energy Drink is nice and tart without being bitter.

At 220 calories, however, it won't be a regular part of my daily energy drink routine.  It's tasty, but not too sweet, and actually tastes like a real lemonade (most "lemonades" are too sweet;  as an energy drink, this Amp had the tartness that makes a lemonade a lemonade.)

Star Trek Online Open Beta... Day 1

So, I finally have my grubby mitts on Star Trek Online… I’ve been waiting so long for this.

This post will contain first impressions, a bug and recommended update thread, and some stuff I’ve really enjoyed seeing in the game.

I downloaded the game, installed it, then went to work!

Really.
