Sonic the Hedgehog XBOX 360

This review was WAY overdue, but it was so hard figuring out how to write a review for such a game. To start off, this game shouldn't be called Sonic the Hedghog, it should be renamed "Silver the Hedghog"

explanation coming up.

I'm going to break the game up into the different stories, Sonic, Silver, and Shadow, but to start off I'd like to say one thing. I love Sonic Heros, and would play it over this game. That alone should say alot.

SONIC
His levels weren't very well done, in fact, they felt more like Amy Rose levels. His controls were a little sticky, but that wasn't even the problem. Sonic the Hedgehog is what? The fasted creature on the planet! Yet they kept bringing up road blocks every time he got anywhere up to speed. I don't know if I'm being over picky, but excuse me for wanting fast gameplay from a Sonic game. And I'm sorry, having Sonic walk around in a town for a couple of hours didn't work so well in DX so why would they think it would work any better here? I spent most of the time though jumping on the rooftops, but that was only because they barely gave any clues as to where I was to go next. So Sonic story was a giant bust, not the end of the world though.

SILVER
Aah, my good buddy Silver. I said before the game should of been called Silver the Hedgehog and thats for a reason. Silvers levels were a hundred times better than Sonics, he isn't a fast Hog so the road blocks weren't a problem, and because of his powers, any road block there was soon became very handy weapons of MASSIVE destruction. Nothing rocks more than stunning a robot and then tossing him at his buddy, or better yet, just releasing him and watching him explode to pieces is enough to make me play his levels all over again. And his flying, oh wait, short ranged levitation, ability was always a handy trick to get past tricky situations. Don't know if you wanna jump off that ledge? Hover over with the camera faced down and take a peek, if nothings there, get back to land before you fall. This game is only good because of Silver, oh and Shadow but thats next.

SHADOW
Whats not to like? You drive big monsterous trucks and bikes that launch missiles. And don't forget the hovercraft. Shadows level were all about blow crap up, and I don't mind that really. In fact, I prefer that. The only problem I found with Shadows levels was near the end where giant columns of death would come falling down if you, or the enemies, shot it and you couldn't rotate your camera fast enough to dodge and end up getting crushed. It sucked, I had 34 lifes when I reached those levels and afterwards I had only 2, not to mention the Hovercraft stopped about as fast as a chicken on fire. Though the hovercraft wasn't the only problem in the list of vehicles. The Glider was very hard to handle and they didn't give you much room in the level to move around. They could of left those 2-3 levels out and I don't think it would of hurt the game any.

But in the end, I would play this game again, but only for Silvers and some of Shadows levels. Like I said before, I loved Sonic Heros, but this game? Lets just say I wouldn't recommend it to a hardcore Sonic fan, but only to people to like to blow crap up and hopefully, by the end of the day, become somewhat Silver fans. In the end I give it a AWESOME.
