What with my pleasant experience with AMP's Lightning energy drink, I was really looking forward to my experience with AMP's "Traction" drink, which I got in the same bundle sale at my local megamart.
Normally when describing a drink I don't usually choose a word associated with tires. But in this case, it's accurate.
I'll admit, I'm not the world's biggest fan of grape flavored anything, even grapes. However, ever since my Dimetapp days I've had a special place in my heart for a good Grape artificial flavor... and come to think of it, that's a great way to describe this drink. It tastes like Dimetapp... but not in a good way.
I understand that a modern energy drink is a veritable pharmacy of complex molecules, all designed to wake you up (in an unverified by FDA way). But I don't want it to TASTE like cough medicine.
This drink is a fail: it does wake me up, it does give me a kick of energy and a buzz, but if you can't stand to put the drink in your mouth then you won't get any of the benefits of an energy drink. And, like the Lightning drink, this drink contains 220 calories, calories that have deducted themselves from my daily budget and which I'll never get back.
